“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come”. Mathew 24:14
These were some of the last prophetic words Jesus our Messiah spoke about, before His death, burial, resurrection and then Ascension.
What Jesus Christ our Lord commissioned His disciples to go preach, was The Gospel, and we are not exempted from this.
He said “This Gospel of the Kingdom”.
So what’s the Gospel of the Kingdom?
And is it what the church has been preaching for the past few decades?
The essence of what Jesus Christ came to do and accomplish is in the Message, and Jesus Christ Himself is the Message. Once this message, which is the Gospel of the Kingdom is distorted, misappropriated, wrongly divided:
It will produce traditions, practices and beliefs which acknowledge Jesus, but don’t align with His life, character, nature, principles and what He represents.
“This Gospel of the Kingdom”, simply means;
The good news of the King and His Domain which are here to dominate and colonize.
In Mathew 6:10,
Jesus taught His disciples to pray saying “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”.
Therefore the focus of the Gospel has to be about;
1) A King:
This is a centered teaching on the Person of Jesus, His Character, doctrines, Deity, Authority and Lordship.
2) A Domain:
This is a centered teaching on the Heavenly Life of Righteousness, Holiness and Divinity, He has brought and given as a gift to all who believe in Him. It’s the gift of Eternal life(Zoe), the very life of God in a man, sharing in the Father’s divinity, character, nature and Holiness.This teaching should focus on the believer’s oneness with the Father through Christ by the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
Bringing it back to our present day Church,
The Father weeps because the focus is not on the King(JESUS) nor His Dominion/Domain/The Heavenly Life. Most Churches have replaced the King with “men of God” and the Domain/Kingdom life with traditions and human doctrines.
The today Church have come up with practices which were never mentioned in the Gospels, Epistles or Early Church. Human doctrines like mantles, anointing oil, anointing water, seed sowing, offerings, tithes, sacrificial offerings, prophetic offerings or seeds, feet washings and others.
Its embarrassing to see that;
when the early Apostles and disciples went about teaching and preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, none of such practices were mentioned. Their focus was solely on Christ(The King) and Him crucified, that means any man could access the heavenly life and come into Oneness with God the Father. Take a look into the following Bible verses:
1 Cor 2:2, Acts 2:23, Acts 8:5
Some one like the Apostle Paul when he looks at the Church today will say exactly what he said to the Church in Galatia;
“I marvel that ye are soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another Gospel”.
This is exactly the state of the Church today, we have moved away from Christ who called us, unto another Gospel, even though we still use His name.
“Which is not another, but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the Gospel of Christ”. Gal 1:7
The Gospel of the kingdom is the Gospel of Christ Jesus, that’s what the Apostles preached. The Gospel of Christ is not the gospel of prosperity, deliverance, healing, miracles, breakthrough and so on. When these things are presented ahead of the Person of Christ, then it is a perverted Gospel. The Gospel of Christ in its pure state talks about who Jesus is, how He is the expression of The Father’s love for humanity, the solution to sin;
Talks about His sacrificial death on the cross, His burial, triumphant resurrection and how He has made it possible for anyone who believes in Him by faith to come into a personal relationship with God the Father. John 1:12-13.
Once the Person of Jesus is put and placed at the forefront as The Message, then healing, miracles, deliverance, prosperity will follow suit as additions to the package of salvation.
There is a loud call and trumpet blast from Jesus Christ to His Church and the world today. The church must return to the preaching of the Gospel of the Kingdom if they want the end to come quickly:
And the world should be ready for judgment is coming soon and no man knows the hour or the day of the coming of the Son of God. Therefore let all men come to the feet of the cross and accept the Savior of the world Jesus Christ, and be freed from the power and enslavement of sin and escape the judgment that is to come.
Rev 2:29 “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the Churches”.
